‘You’ve got to find what you love,’ Jobs says

Sunday, June 26th, 2005

"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.
Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other
people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out
your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow
your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want
to become. Everything else is secondary." — Steve Jobs‘ Commencement address at Stanford University

This is quite true. Now, I am most in love with something I didn’t know I had a passion for — user interface and product usability. Before I was into all sorts of things… until now.

Find yours too. You might never know what’s behind it, it could be a turning point like most of us encounter.

Have a nice week ahead. ;)

Cool Google Hack to list files on open webservers

Thursday, June 23rd, 2005

Try this command on Google:

?intitle:index.of? mp3 Matchbox20

Syntax:
?intitle:index.of? {filetype} {search string}

This will list all public directories with these filenames and filetypes… COOL EH!? ;)… You will be surprised that most people leave their directories open for the taking… :(

Edsamail offline?

Edsa

i heard from some net/user groups today that Edsamail, the 2nd big thing after yehey (in PH only) closed shop. is this true? i tried to ping/traceroute/etc. the domain, to no avail… hmmm… end of an era because of free emails with 2GB+ storage capacity like Gmail?

now, who can compete? :(

Update: They were fixing hardwares and moving to a new office in Makati as one list member says it… But why do this at the same time and without notice to the customers? Hmmm… weird.

IE’s new tab browsing…

Thursday, June 16th, 2005

Just downloaded MSN’s new toolbar that included a new "old" feature for browsers, tab-browsing.

Ienewtab_2

IE’s version of tab-browsing was pretty slow. It was actually opening up new instance of IE browser when you click the "+" sign. They’re just hiding it in one window. It was not even close to how Mozilla do it. It even look like a quick fix just to show-off they "too" can achieve it. Nice try. :P
